The Beginning: A Gift from God and a Bold Step
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, who has blessed us with talents that, when nurtured, can become impactful messages for others.
My journey with the mic began in the simplest way: as a young child in a schoolyard. I was asked to say a short phrase during the morning assembly: “Hard work pays off, and those who sow shall reap.” Despite feeling nervous, I trusted in Allah and pushed through. That moment, though small, planted the seed of confidence in my heart.
By Allah’s grace, just a few years later, I became the first child in my town to perform the call to prayer (adhan) at the mosque. This experience taught me discipline, patience, and the power of voice as a tool to connect with others and deliver a message.
From a God-Given Talent to a Lifelong Passion
Over time, my interest in voice grew. I came across a YouTube channel featuring educational content and positive affirmations. I was captivated by the power of voice in delivering messages. When I discovered that the creator was teaching others how to become voice-over artists, I felt it was a door Allah had opened for me.
Though my voice didn’t seem suited for voice-over at the time, I persevered. At the age of 18, I convinced a YouTube channel to give me a chance, and by Allah’s will, I worked with them for a long period. This opened doors to collaborate with other teams and create voice content that gained appreciation.
Challenges: Perseverance and Trust in Allah
The road wasn’t easy. Recording daily scripts for YouTube channels, especially in classical Arabic, required stamina and precision. It was exhausting to maintain a consistent tone and perfect pronunciation, but I always remembered to rely on Allah for guidance and strength.
One unforgettable moment was my first studio recording for a major real estate company in Cairo. Walking into that professional space felt overwhelming yet fulfilling. It was a reminder that every small step I took was a part of Allah’s greater plan for me.
Success: A Blessing from Allah
The turning point in my career came when I shared my showreel on Facebook. The response was overwhelming—directors and organizations started reaching out, and soon I was working on larger projects. Some even requested that I offer voice-over training courses. By Allah’s grace, I began with short motivational sessions to guide newcomers in their first steps.
Lessons and Human Connections
Through my journey, I’ve met remarkable people and had the opportunity to share my experience. For instance, I mentored a media student who later became a well-known presenter. We still exchange knowledge and ideas to this day.
Of course, not every experience was positive. I once faced a difficult situation with a middleman who unfairly took a large commission from a project. It was a hard lesson in vigilance and trusting Allah to reclaim what is rightfully yours.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work has been participating in volunteer projects. These moments reminded me of the true value of voice-over: delivering positive impact and creating meaningful connections in the community.
Voice: A Tool and a Message
This journey has taught me that voice is more than a tool for work—it’s a medium for inspiration, creativity, and spreading goodness. Every step I’ve taken has been by Allah’s guidance and support, helping me overcome challenges and grow.
We all have talents gifted by Allah. True success lies not only in nurturing them but also in using them to benefit others and make a positive impact. Alhamdulillah for every blessing, and I pray Allah continues to guide and bless this journey for me and others who strive with sincerity.
